# Invite and set up staff

> Give team members dashboard access, POS access, or both.

Store owners and authorized team members can invite staff from **Settings → Staff**. The page has **Members** and **Invites** tabs.

## Send an invitation

1. Open **Settings → Staff** and select **Add staff**.
2. Enter the team member's full name and choose **WhatsApp** or **Email** under **Send invitation by**. Enter the contact that should receive the invite.
3. Turn on **Give dashboard login** if they need the merchant dashboard. Choose the dashboard sections they may use.
4. Turn on **Give POS access** if they need to sell in person. Choose a POS role. At least one access type must be enabled.
5. Review the access summary and send the invitation.

Use **Manage POS roles** on the Staff page to review role permissions. Open **Invites** to check invitations that have not been accepted.

## Accept an invitation

The invited person opens the link sent to their WhatsApp number or email address. If they do not already have a matching Payam session, they enter their name, select **Continue**, and verify the six-digit code sent to the invited contact. They can then select **Verify & Accept Invitation**. A person already signed in with the matching contact can accept with that account.

If the invite shows **Expired**, ask the store owner for a new link. If it shows **Invalid Invitation**, confirm the link or ask the owner to resend it. An invitation sent to a different contact cannot be accepted using an unrelated signed-in account.

For POS access, the staff member sets their own four-digit PIN when first opening POS. Dashboard access and POS access depend on the choices made in the invitation.
