# Store settings

> Find each setting for your store, checkout, notifications, taxes, and documents.

The **Settings** area controls how your store appears, takes orders, sends updates, and creates documents. Open a section in the Settings sidebar, make your changes, then select **Save Changes** where available. A section may be hidden if your staff role does not have the required permission.

| Section | What you can manage |
| - | - |
| **General** | Store identity, customer-facing business contact information, regional settings, currency, and time zone. |
| **Staff** | Team invitations, dashboard access, and POS roles. See [Invite and set up staff](https://help.payam.africa/merchants/staff.md). |
| **Payouts** | The bank account that receives available balances. See [Finance and settlements](https://help.payam.africa/merchants/finance.md). |
| **Checkout** | Customer information, address fields, order codes, and order instructions. |
| **Notifications** | Recipients, events, and channels for business updates. These contacts are separate from customer-facing contact details in General. |
| **Taxes** | Tax treatment, rates, and category override policies. |
| **Transaction fee** | How Payam transaction fees are applied, with a checkout preview. |
| **Receipts** | Receipt content, display options, and the printed POS slip preview. |
| **Invoices** | Business details, payment terms, included fields, notes, actions, and invoice preview. |
| **Profile** | Your personal Payam profile. This opens in the accounts app. |

After changing checkout, tax, fee, receipt, or invoice settings, use the preview shown in that section and check a test order before relying on the result for a live customer. Changes to **Delivery** are made from the main dashboard's Delivery area.
