# Customer segments

> Group customers by orders, spending, location, and activity.

Open **Customers → Segments** to view and create customer groups. A segment uses conditions to find matching customers; the count preview changes as you build it.

1. Select **Add segment** and enter a segment name.
2. Select **Add condition**. The available conditions include order count, amount spent, last order, customer age, delivery location, and abandoned checkout activity.
3. Choose the comparison and value for each condition. Add more conditions if needed.
4. Review the matching-customer preview, then select **Save**.

Open an existing segment to inspect its customers or edit its conditions. You can also filter **Customers → All** by segment. Segment membership can change when customer orders or other source data change, so check the current count when using a segment for a campaign or report.

The condition menu also includes **Customer since** in addition to order count, last order, amount spent, abandoned checkout, and delivery location. Open a saved segment to see its matching-customer table. If a segment looks unexpectedly small, inspect whether multiple conditions are combined and whether date or location values match the customers you expect.
