# Review and act on an order

> Inspect payment and fulfillment, link a customer, invoice, duplicate, cancel, or refund.

Open **Orders → Orders**, search or filter the list, then select an order. The detail page shows the order number, customer and items, payment information, and fulfillment details. The actions available can depend on status, payment, channel, and staff permissions.

## Check payment and customer details

Read the payment section before marking work complete. A partially paid order can show an outstanding balance and a **Record additional payment** action. Use **Link customer** when the order should belong to an existing customer profile; the dialog can also create a new customer, then asks you to confirm the link. Check addresses and contact information before dispatching.

## Use More actions

* **View invoice** opens the invoice in a new browser tab.
* **Send invoice to customer** opens WhatsApp with a prepared message and invoice link. Review the recipient and send the message yourself.
* **Download PDF** opens a print-ready invoice view, where your browser can save or print it.
* **Duplicate** starts a new order with details copied from this order. Review products, prices, customer, and delivery before completing it.
* **Cancel order** is available while the order is not already cancelled. If payment was recorded, the dashboard opens a refund flow; otherwise it opens a cancellation confirmation.

For a refund, check the amount paid, payment method, and channel shown in the confirmation flow. Record the reason and follow the available prompts. Reopen the order afterwards to verify its resulting status and balance. Refund permissions and manager approval may apply, especially for POS orders.

Use **Export** from the order list for a report of the selected or filtered orders when that option is offered. Do not use a copied invoice as proof that payment settled; check the order payment status and [Finance](https://help.payam.africa/merchants/finance.md).
