# Create and manage draft orders

> Prepare an order before finalizing it for a customer.

Open **Orders → Draft orders** to view unfinished orders. Use **Create draft order** to start one, or open an existing draft to continue it. A draft is useful when staff assemble a cart for a customer or need to confirm details before finalizing.

1. Add products and check the correct variants, quantities, and current prices.
2. Link or enter the customer when needed, then review delivery or pickup information.
3. Review discounts, tax, fees, payment, and total before taking the next action offered by the draft page.
4. Save the draft if you are not ready to finalize. Reopen it from **Draft orders** to continue.

The draft table supports search, filtering, and export controls. Before turning a draft into an order, recheck stock and the customer's contact information; a draft may have been created before those details changed. Once finalized, use the regular [order detail](https://help.payam.africa/merchants/order-actions.md) page to track payment and fulfillment.
